Three request profiles share one identifier — a desktop renderer, a mobile renderer and a sitemap worker — and the operator's docs tell site owners not to trust the user agent alone, offering two published ways to confirm a request: a reverse-DNS lookup that must resolve under its own domain, and a published list of crawler address ranges.
